<image:title>Blog - A Magnolia Inspired Halloween - Hearth & Hand meets Skeleton Bath</image:title>
<image:caption>If you don’t have a skeleton relaxing in a bath of pumpkins, what are you doing? This comical and cozy blend was created using a serving bowl from the Magnolia line at Target, Hearth & Hand. I added leather and velvet pumpkins around this Dollar Tree skeleton which I spray painted gold. Leather leaves encompass the bowl, and are featured with a pair of gold skeletal hands on the table to further bring the concept and color scheme outside of the bowl.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - A Magnolia Inspired Halloween - Beware: Rustic Charm</image:title>
<image:caption>This entryway tabletop has so many different textures and elements, yet works SO well together. Before I go on, the spiderweb and Beware sign are BOTH from Dollar Tree! An iridescent glass pumpkin (from At Home), burlap wrapped leather pumpkin, and a heightened clear vase of black spray painted bones, creates a quite unusually creepy atmosphere. See below for a close up!</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - A Magnolia Inspired Halloween - Victorian Goth meets Cow Print</image:title>
<image:caption>This is my favorite Halloween entryway creation so far! Blending black and white, heightened columns, candlestick holders… and last but not least, cow print pattern, this decorative moment is a gothic, neutral, edgy mashup. The candlestick holders were a vintage market find, and were distressed white. I knew spray painting them matte black would be so much bolder. The cow print catchall is from the brand, Myra Bag.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - A Magnolia Inspired Halloween - Metal Basket filled with autumn comforts</image:title>
<image:caption>Using a neutral linen throw as the base, I filled this gold basket with black and white pumpkins, creating contrast and coziness. Adding a lantern and some paper leaves, eyecatching warmth was added to the room. Perfect for placing on the side of your fireplace (pictured here) but could look great in an entryway or any space needing a corner filled.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - A Magnolia Inspired Halloween - Fall Tabletop Bowl Display</image:title>
<image:caption>One of my favorite decor tools is the decorative bowls made for tabletop use, to display whatever your heart desires. I don’t know about you, but these provide endless creative opportunities for me. First pictured is a black pumpkin filled, open sided bowl. From a vintage store, this was originally a rust brown color, and if you know me, you know black is always my go-to. This worked out perfectly to give a dark, ominous edge to the simplistic Joanna style. See below for a white pumpkin, cast iron filled bowl, as well as my final blend of the two colors into one centerpiece MASTERPIECE!</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - A Magnolia Inspired Halloween - Cocktail Book meets Spooky Decor</image:title>
<image:caption>One of my favorite creative “moments” this season. The neutral, candlelit aura with the pairing of the coffin, spider web, and crackled pumpkin gives off BIG Magnolia vibes. Tying in Gaines’ book as the base (buy it here), there was no way I couldn’t include it in this post! TIP: if you are wanting a simple, cute coffin to feature in your home, look at Dollar Tree/Dollar General. They usually come in odd colors, but I spray painted this one white, and BOOM, perfect neutral fit.</image:caption>

<image:caption>My fireplace mantel may look intricate with all of those ornaments, but it’s actually ornament garland from Michaels! You can buy it here! So easy to put out and place, yet creates a big impact! You will also see ornamental touches in this last photo from earlier in this post. They all work so well together to fill the space with holiday cheer!</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Deck the Halls… With Ornaments - More Tabletop Inspired Ideas</image:title>
<image:caption>Here are a few more ideas for your tabletops to become bauble-ified! Normally used with candles, lanterns are a great way to display a collection of ornaments and add a pop of color to a space. For me, I always have a theme or color in mind. For this area, I used blues, pinks, and purples, which I thought went really well with the iridescent snowflakes on the tree!</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Deck the Halls… With Ornaments</image:title>
<image:caption>Up top, I of course had to fill my vintage chip ‘n dip with warm toned baubles and bells, which create such lovely glistening glows with the assorted color string lights. Lastly, I simply strung a cute ribbon into a Christmas poster (from the Target dollar spot!) and created a mini banner of assorted ornaments. Absolutely love how this turned out!</image:caption>

<image:caption>This little white wooden basket was originally from a vintage store (for $1 I might add!) and was green and chipping like crazy. I beautified it in snowy white, with the idea that this neutral color would be perfect to show off ornaments by the fireplace!</image:caption>

<image:caption>This is one of my favorite holiday stylings I’ve done thus far! Ornaments are ALL OVER this cart. First, notice the magazine paper, fanned ornaments from HomeGoods. I made them into a hanging banner and they are just simply one word… FESTIVE.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Cut the folders in half, so that you can use both sides of each folder for stenciling. Next, with the cups and other traceable items you have, start creating stenciled designs on the back side of each half of the folder. (As you can see, I traced a wooden moon and a star shaped ornament. Perfect pairing to go with my folder pattern!) Then, cut, cut, cut! *Remember! Trace your design in full without stopping so that the lines will match up and you will have a consistent shape! And, take your time cutting along the lines. I know you are not children, but it does matter! haha</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - DIY Astrological Ornaments</image:title>
<image:caption>To start, you should know I made these ornaments from a pack of folders I found at HomeGoods! Yes, it’s that simple! Whether you want to hunt for this type of pattern, or find a print that screams YOU, they will all work the same with my DIY below. Also, if you are on the hunt for folders like mine, here are some I found with astrological print: Zazzle, Deal Genius, and one more cute find from Zazzle.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - DIY Astrological Ornaments</image:title>
<image:caption>To achieve these cute cutouts, you will need Folders of your choice (I used 3 folders total, both sides of each.) Scissors Cups (multiple options to achieve different circle sizes) Other shapes that are able to be stenciled (optional!) Hole Puncher Ornament Hooks</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - DIY Astrological Ornaments</image:title>
<image:caption>Now it’s time to turn over your cut-outs to see the beautiful shape paired with the fun pattern. This was the “happy dance” moment. Next, take your hole punch (I had a star shaped mini hole punch, so of course I had to use!) and choose the spot you will want them to hang from. Then, add your ornament hooks, and voila! A satisfying DIY that’s cozy, winter transitional, and cheap!</image:caption>
